A few months ago, hubby decided he wanted to head to Monsterpalooza. I thought OK, as long as we could go down a day ahead so that we could take a trip to Universal Hollywood
... this is that weekend ...
Just so you know, I haven't done any post-processing on any of these pics so you'll have to view them right out of the camera ;)
... leaving the San Francisco airport for Burbank:
CityWalk - interesting thing about CityWalk in Hollywood is that you don't walk through it to get to the parks - it's off to the side of the main gate and you could very easily miss it if you didn't know it was there
Because we were only there for 1 day, we decided to book the VIP Experience ...
... the VIP Tour lounge (set up very similar to the one in Orlando)
... Universal Hollywood:
... the view of the lower lot from the entrance to the studio tour:
... getting on our own personal tram:
... starting out on our tour - following one of the regular studio tour trams:
... passing by the stage where they film "CSI"
... the guide couldn't tell us what was filming in this location but you could tell it was set in the 1940's/1950's
... the Lyon Estates gates from BTTF
... this area is supposed to look like old Mexico
... which they can flood at the touch of a button ...
... part 2 can be found here
