Even though more neutral colors are more my style, all in all, I was pleased with my second mystery box and am certainly happy with what I got for my $20. I especially love the Anne colored polish!

March 2012 Topbox

I think I received my Topbox around the 15th of March, but as I mentioned in previous blogs, I am a bit late in getting up my review this month.

I always look forward to receiving my Beauty Box subscriptions ... and Topbox is one of my favorites!!  In previous posts, I've calculated the cost of the samples in the boxes, however due to lack of time and wanting to get this review up, I decided to skip that part of the review.

So what was in this month's box:

This month we received:

~ Mark by Avon - Nailed it

Truthfully I am not a big Avon fan, however, love the colors of these polishes, and the bottles are so tiny and cute!!

~ Mark by Avon - Gorgeous Gloss Lip Stain

Again, not a big Avon fan, but will give this a try

~ Make Up Forever - Smoky Lash

It's awesome that I received the mascara rather than the make up remover as I've been wanting to try this for some time!!

~ Simple - Cleansing Facial Wipes

These are perfect for travel and am looking forward to trying these on our upcoming trip to Burbank in April!

~ Redken - Color Extend Shampoo & Conditioner

I've tried Redken products previously and found them to be OK.  Again, these will be great for travel.

So, what did I think of this month's Topbox ... again, another winner.  Topbox continues to be one of the best in my opinion, and truthfully, I am not missing cancelling my Loose Button Luxe Box one bit!!

I am looking forward to receiving next month's offerings!

March Julep Maven - American Beauty

This month, I decided to try a different style box instead of my "It girl" box so chose the American Beauty Box.

Oh goody ... a nail file!! :)

Keep in mind this is a regular Julep Maven Box ... you usually get 2-3 nail polishes, and one other hand, nail, foot product.  This month, I received (L to R):

I love more natural toned polishes which is one of the reasons I chose this box over the It Girl for this month.  That's one of the things I love about Julep - you can change your selection, send your month to a friend or even skip a month if there is nothing that appeals to you that month.  If only other beauty box subscriptions would be like this!!

Julep Maven Valentine's Mystery Box

I've really been behind on my blog posts ... I blame it on my laziness LOL

I signed up as a Julep Maven a couple months ago and was very pleased to receive an email advising me we could purchase special "mystery boxes" for Valentine's Day.  Each box contained an assortment of products. The regular price of the mystery box is $60, but there was a promoted coupon code for $20. This is the first time I bought their mystery box ... I did some research online for other people's blog posts on their Christmas and Valentine's mystery boxes and they were super awesome!

So what did I receive??

First up were some funky Julep Nail appliques:

Next, was an age defying hand brightener cream, some nail bling and a chocolate heart (which my hubby promptly ate!)

Unfortunately one of the polishes leaked all over - thank goodness this was the one they placed in the bubble baggie!!

All in all, I was pleased with my mystery box.  I wouldn't have paid $60 for this, but am certainly happy with what I got for my $20.
